New UV fiber

for application in the spectral range between 200nm and 2300nm

(K.-F.Klein, C.P.Gonschior, V.Khalilkov, J.Shannon)

Enormous Analysis and R6D activities have untertaken w.r.t. UV fibers. The purity and the lack of material- and surface defects show significant importance. Meanwhile some reasonable initial design fibers are available.

a) SM or LM fiberswith caw diode laser in violet / UV- A

b) microstructured SM fibers show significant resistance against 100mW input power at 405nm.

Still much remains to be done in UV fiber R&D.

Extended InGaAs für 2,6µm Cut-off

The new series of 2,6µm Cut-off completes the OEC Extended InGaAs Photodiodes Series.
In addition to the 50% Cut-offs of 1,9µm, 2,05µm and 2,2µm a new Cut-off Wavelength of 2,6µm can be supplied for the round active areas with 0,5mm, 1mm and 2mm diameter. These detectors show an excellent value for the money ratio.

OEC supplies these detector with receptacles, with fibres, with TE-coolers and as bottom detector in sandwich detectors.

OEC GmbH in a new perspective - a new Website!

The old OEC GmbH Webdesign has now, after many years, served its time. The OEC GmbH Website now appears in a totally new perspective - it is shining in a new splendor! At the same time we stuck to our identification color, a noble blue.

The structure of the menu has been retained to make sure that our customers, you, do not have to get familiar with navigating through the site again. We also put an emphasis on optimal clarity. Completely new is our so called "Tag Cloud" that helps you browsing through the site by just choosing keywords. Furthermore we introduced a document archive that makes it possible to gain fast and easy access to our PDF documents.

Feel free to enjoy our new Website, and hopefully you can get your desired information!

JS-IR450

JS-IR450The JSIR450 is a wide band and powerful Infrared-Source. It has a big radiation power in the IR-band up to 15μm. In contrast to glow spiral emitters a circular homogeneous temperature distribution is reached. The JSIR450 has a broad spectral range output with high intensity. A high electric power consumption is possible within long lifetime. The JSIR450 works e.g. in infrared spectroscopy, gas detection systems, air quality and environment monitoring and in medical gas monitoring.
