The GAP9010 Sandwich photodiode has to layers of photodiode close to each other. The top chip (800nm .- 1700nm) is an InGaAs photodiode while the bottom one (1550nm – 2300nm) is an Extended-InGaAs photodiode.

IR wavelength beyond the peak of 1550nm pass through the top photodiode and are collected by the bottom one. The GAP9010 is ideal for fiber-optical applications as well as for pyrometry.
