In the atto\u2011s\u20112, an uncooled Si photodiode is combined with a charge amplifier. This produces an electrical voltage pulse for each incoming light pulse, with an amplitude proportional to the number of photons, regardless of the duration or temporal profile of the light pulse. Integration is performed, meaning that the temporal profile of the voltage pulse no longer provides information about the temporal profile of the light pulse. The advantage of this method is that small amounts of light can be measured with high sensitivity and low noise using relatively little effort\u2014provided the light occurs in the form of short pulses. The power supply is provided via a small included control unit. The technical data of each device are measured and documented individually. <\/p>\n

The control unit is designed and configured only according to customer requirements, which results in different sizes and placements of the operating elements. The housing dimensions range from 110\u202fmm \u00d7 60\u202fmm \u00d7 31\u202fmm to 120\u202fmm \u00d7 95\u202fmm \u00d7 56\u202fmm. <\/p>\n
