In Geiger mode, even a single photon generates a clearly measurable current pulse. Combined with suitable readout electronics, this enables the reliable detection of even the weakest light signals.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"1002\">With an active diameter of 50 \u00b5m, the device offers an optimal balance between high sensitivity and fast signal processing.
